The MSRT is proud to announce slight changes to the MSRT Scholarship! The purpose of this program is to award one (1) $1,000.00 scholarship to a student technologist currently enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Science program in the state of Minnesota. New this year is the awarding of one (1) $1,000.00 scholarship to a MSRT registered member technologist.
Application criteria for the student technologist includes MSRT membership, current enrollment in a two year accredited Radiography program, enrollment in the program as of July 15th of the year of application, maintenance of a "B" or 3.0 grade point average, a letter of recommendation from a current MSRT member and a properly completed application accompanied by the applicant's essay. The essay requires the applicant to address three poignant radiology profession related questions. The registered technologist category applicant must be MSRT member, provide proof that he/she is enrolled in an advanced radiologic course of instruction, submit a letter of recommendation from a current MSRT member and provide a properly completed application accompanied by the applicant's essay. The essay requires the applicant to address the same three poignant radiology profession related questions as the student technologist category.
Essays will be judged by a panel of three judges as assigned by the MSRT President. Minnesota Radiology Program staff will not be eligible to serve as a judge. Applications and essays are due no later than July 15th. Any materials arriving after the July 15th deadline will not be eligible.
Winners of the MSRT Scholarship will be announced at the Awards Banquet held during the MSRT Annual Meeting and Fall Educational Conference. The Program Director(s) of the winning members will be notified in advance so that every effort can be made to have the recipients present to receive their award!
